The boho style has been popular for a while now, but bringing it into the nursery makes for the perfect combination of trendy and cute. And a boho brown color palette of dusty pinks, warm rust and sandy tans goes great with rattan rockers, fringe wall hangings, and woven accents.

Muted Rainbows

Rainbows are also big for nurseries right now, whether as framed art, a painted wall mural, or reflected in textiles. When it comes to adding your own rainbow, don’t be afraid to play with the colors. The standard ROYGBIV is out, and more muted, nontraditional colors are in.

Perhaps it’s because we’ve all been stuck at home for the past year, but whatever the reason, we’re seeing a lot of travel and vacation themed nurseries this spring. Wallpaper has enjoyed a resurgence in popularity with the boom over the last year in home decor and DIY. And along with it, decals have also risen to the top as an easier and cheaper alternative. From bold florals, to abstract shapes, to playful woodland creatures, wallpaper and decals are a relatively simple way to add a major impact to your nursery design.

Got a brave little explorer in your home? Encourage them to dream big with an adventure-themed nursery. Take them to the stars with a space room, or bring the great outdoors inside with a camping room.

Fairytale patterns and romantic colors make for an adorable, whimsical nursery. Think less Disney, and more enchanted forests, imaginative creatures, and classic nursery rhymes.
